What’s involved?
Our instructors will put any potential forklift operator through their paces. Our fork truck operator skills assessment criteria includes but is not limited to:
- Pre Use Check Assessment
- Operating Skills Assessment relevant to your site operations
- Vehicle loading / unloading
- Stacking and destacking within industrial racking systems
- Operating and manoeuvring within confined areas
- Observational awareness assessment
How long does it take?
The time taken to complete a forklift operator skills assessment will be different for each operation. However, our instructors aim to have the candidate actively operating your forklift truck for at least 60 minutes.
Do we get any feedback?
Our instructor will complete a comprehensive report documenting what has been assessed and will offer their expert opinion as to whether the operator would benefit from any additional training such as a forklift refresher training course.
Can multiple assessments be completed?
In short, YES
If you need multiple candidates to be assessed, typically we would arrange a schedule with a 2 hours slot per candidate. We can assess a maximum of 3 candidates per day.
