Powered Pallet Truck Training
The Electric Pallet Truck often referred to as a Powered Pallet Truck or PPT, can be used both inside and outside for operations where a larger forklift truck would not be appropriate. Electric Pallet Trucks can be either pedestrian operated or rider operated when fitted with an approved rider platform. On a pedestrian operated Powered Pallet Truck, the controls are often on a tiller arm, allowing the operator to walk with the machine behind them. This changes for a rider operated machine, whereby the operator can ride on the machine with forks leading.
Powered Pallet Trucks are ideal for use on loading bays, to load or unload Lorries. They are ideal for use in smaller operations too, where stacking and de-stacking within an industrial racking system is not required and goods being stored at ground level.
Providing your employees with Powered Pallet Truck forklift training ensures that they have the necessary skills to safely operate a Powered Pallet Truck safely within your work environment. The course is designed to provide operators of Powered Pallet Trucks with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to comply with the standards and regulations contained within the HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L117.
A1- Pedestrian Operated Powered Pallet Truck
Pedestrian Pallet Trucks (PPT) are used across multiple sectors from retail to manufacturing due to their ability to lift and transport goods that would otherwise have to be moved by forklift truck.

A2- Rider Operated Powered Pallet Truck
Rider operated pallet trucks are typically used within larger warehouses as they allow operators to pick stock from multiple locations across larger areas.
A3- Pedestrian Counterbalance Forklift Truck
The Pedestrian Counterbalance forklift truck is similar to a powered pallet stacker, however there is two key differences. Firstly, a pedestrian counterbalance does not have any support legs once the load is lifted. This means the pedestrian counterbalance can be used with a wider range of pallets which is often limiting with a pedestrian pallet stacker. The second key difference is the fact that the forks can be adjusted on the carriage plate rather than fixed forks as with the PPTS, making the pedestrian counterbalance a versatile forklift truck.

A5- Pedestrian Operated Powered Pallet Stacker
Becoming increasingly popular are powered pallet stackers due to there versatility within smaller operations that cannot accommodate a traditional counterbalance forklift truck.
